🌴 The first update for OASIS is finally available! 🎉

After a turbulent year for me since the release of the first demo of OASIS, i finally managed to continue development. While far from perfect, this update features a lot of improvements, art-style overhauls and expands the vision i had for this game a year ago. 

List of major changes:

GENERAL 👨‍🌾

• Completely overhauled artstyle to reflect a more believable PS1-Experience
  
• Adjusted the size and content of the playable Area
• Loading Screens & Crossfades
• New Fonts

GAMEPLAY 🌱

• New Characters: Cathy and Rootsy!
• Implemented a basic Tutorial, where Cathy introduces you to the game.
  
• Added a Day-Night-Cycle + Day Counter
  
• Plants now have a growth cycle!
  
• Plots are placable now (not able to be picked up again currently)
  
• Seeds now have a corresponding Plot-Element, e.g. the Water-plant Orchid can only be placed in the swimming pool plot.
  

• Randomized Shop Inventory
  
• Progression: Spend collected coins at the Merchant for better Plots & Seeds
  
• Improved Balancing of prices & Character spawn rates
  
• New Extra: Counter! Displays how many days have passed since the first release of OASIS.
  
• More decorative Items!

• Mouse Look and improved controls!
  

AUDIO, MUSIC & SFX 🎶

• Dialogue Voices
• Hourly background music (Music changes as the day progresses)
• Menu SFX
  
• Separated Volume Sliders for Music, Ambience, SFX & Mute Option
  
• Different Pickup Sound Effects
• Removed Radio (for now)
• Ingame Audio Control

... & more smaller changes.

I am learning a lot about game development when working on this game, however please consider that i only do this as a hobby and by no means am a professional coder. This is the first game i have ever published, so if you like share some feedback so i can improve on what´s there and shape the game so it will be more enjoyable for you :)
